Board of Parole Commissioners
Michael Keeler has served as a Commissioner on the Board of Parole Commissioners
since his appointment by Governor Jim Gibbons on August 1, 2006. Prior to
his appointment, Commissioner Keeler worked for Southern Nevada Child and Adolescent Mental Health
Services and Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Service. Commissioner Keeler has been employed
by the State of Nevada since 1990 in the capacity of Public Services
Intern, Case Manager, teaching parent relief, Clinical Social Work Intern, Clinical Social Worker,
Supervisor, Psychiatric Emergency Services Director, Inpatient Administrative Coordinator, Clinic Director, and Services Coordination
Director. In addition, Commissioner Keeler has been employed by various agencies in the
community as a Social Worker, Vocational Case Manager, Contract Therapist, and Substance Abuse
Technician. He also has a combination of 17 years of direct mental health
care experience, nine of which were spent as a Clinical Program Manager.
Commissioner Keeler completed his Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees in Social Work at the
University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
(LCSW) by the Nevada State Board of Examiners, since 1994.
Commissioner Keeler has been a resident of Nevada since 1979
